I am very much delighted to extend my warmest welcome in the 24^th National Conference of Society of Anesthesiologists of Nepal in conjunction with the 21st meeting of Asian Society of Pediatric Anesthesia in Kathmandu on 4-5 April 2025. This time we are honored organize the conference jointly with ASPA keeping in mind that the Children are our future and are the value of the future provided safer anesthesia for every child.

This is the first occasion of such meeting with a focus on enhancing patient outcomes and ensuring the well-being of every child. This mega event would be the ideal platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration and innovation in the field of pediatric anesthesia.

On behalf of organizing committee, I am honored to welcome you all in this mega event. One of the highlights of our conference is the involvement of renowned national and international speakers who will share their expertise and perspectives and you can look forward to engaging plenary sessions, interactive panel discussions in areas of interest, thought-provoking workshops, and ample networking opportunities during the conference. It will be a remarkable to share your experiences, present your knowledge and learn from the leaders.

Kathmandu is a beautiful mountainous valley with surrounding Himalayan ranges and an enriched varieties of food, culture and history. I am delighted to extend welcome to each one of you to the 24th annual conference of Society of Anesthesiologists of Nepal (SANCON - ASPA 2025), organized in collaboration with Asian Society of Paediatric Anesthesiologists (ASPA). The conference will take place on April 4th – 5th, 2025 at Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu., SANCON 2024 was attended by more than 600 participants , including 60 plus international delegates. With the involvement of ASPA, we expect the number will rise.

This conference will serve a significant platform to bring together anesthesiologists from around the world, fostering discussion discussions on advancements in various super specialities of anesthesiology, with a particular focus on pediatric anesthesia.

On behalf of Scientific committee, It’s my pleasure to welcome you all to the 24th National Conference of Society of Anesthesiologists of Nepal combined with 21st Meeting of the Asian Society of Paediatric Anesthesiologists (SANCON-ASPA 2025) going to be held on 4th -5th April 2025 at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu, Nepal. As a scientific chair I am thrilled to host this much awaited gathering of experts from all over the globe. As this event is a combined conference of SAN and ASPA we will be focusing more on different aspects of pediatric anesthesia, however as usual national conference of SAN this conference will explore groundbreaking research, clinical innovations, and collaborative approaches from different specialties of anesthesia, critical care, pain medicine and perioperative care.

Themed as “Scaling new heights in Pediatric Anesthesia and beyond”, this conference will have engaging scientific sessions led by renowned experts, interactive workshops with hands-on demonstrations and networking opportunities with colleagues from around the world especially experts on pediatric anesthesia. SAN and ASPA will work together to ascertain that this conference will offer something to all the participants, whether a seasoned practitioner or a trainee to reach new heights in anesthesia practice.

As a scientific chair I would like to invite all the researchers to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations and register for the conference to connect with peers, exchange ideas, build lasting collaborations, engage in thought provoking discussions, enhance your skills through different workshops, share knowledge and shape the future of anesthesia. This year, ASPA is celebrating its 25th anniversary, marking a significant milestone in our shared history. It is a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come and look forward to the future with renewed commitment to advancing pediatric anesthesia across Asia and beyond.

As Chairperson of the Asian Society of Pediatric Anesthesia (ASPA), I am deeply fascinated by the field of pediatric anesthesia, which continues to evolve and expand in ways we never imagined. It is truly inspiring to witness how it reaches beyond the operating room to provide care to the most vulnerable patients. The rapid growth and progress of our specialty is a wonder, and I am thrilled to be part of this exciting journey.

This year's scientific program is the culmination of efforts from all of us, with special thanks to Dr. Josephine Tan, Dr. Serpil Ozen, and, of course, Dr. Utsav Acharya, whose contributions have been invaluable.
